Lydia Place was started by a small group of women who said, "we can make a difference." You can make a difference. Lydia Place offers women and their children shelter, parent training, therapeutic children's program, case management, life-skills program, and graduate follow-up designed to support the transition from homelessness to independence. Each donation of, money, time, or goods helps families making a change for a better future. Lydia Place is a 501(c)3; donations may be tax deductible.

Leave a Legacy

Include charitable giving in your plans. Gifts can include stocks, bonds, real estate, and vehicles. Such gifts may even provide tax reductions. For more information is available at www.leavelegacy.org.

Events

Lydia Place hosts two major fundraising events annually. The spring People Who Care dinner and auction accepts auction items throughout the year. Look for your post card with donation drop off times and locations as we approach the August community-wide Garage Sale. Contact Teresa at (360) 671-7663 for event details.

Goods

Wise Buys Shop thrift store, located at 401 W. Holly Street, provides Lydia Place with a steady stream of income year round. The Wise Buys volunteer staff accept used household items and clothing. Household goods are also accepted at Lydia Place for use in the house and to fill wish
lists requests for graduates
preparing to move out.

Volunteer

Volunteers are critical part of our program. It takes thousands of volunteer hours to maintain a quality program. Last year, over 40 volunteers donated 3,500 hours to Lydia Place. See our Volunteer page for a list of volunteer opportunities.
