At Wise Buys

Lydia Place's thrift shop located at 401 W. Holly is a great place to donate used household item year round and to volunteer. Volunteers, organize, price, and cashier during regular shifts.

At the Garage Sale

It takes over 50 volunteers to receive, sort, and price items the week prior to our community-wide garage sale in August. Volunteers also help cashier and load purchases on sale day and of course clean up!

Leadership

Lydia Place has a diverse and dedicated Board of Directors who support the program by providing vision, direction, and fundraising. Board recruitment normally begins in the fall for the upcoming year. Community members are encouraged to participate on Board Committees. Current committees include Program Management & Development, Community Relations, Revenue Management & Development, and Human Resources.

Mission

Lydia Place provides a multifaceted program that supports women and their children in transition from homelessness to independence
